Good Start To 2025

I was on Round 6 of the Tunnel Barn Winter League for my first match of 2025. Had a lovely day’s sport, winning my lake and 3rd overall with 58lb 15oz from Top Pool peg 11.

The lake was half frozen, which thankfully put the little silvers off that can be a pest in this lake. I’ve caught on pellets early then maggots and Sonubaits Supercrush Expander. Used 0.2g, 0.3g, 0.4g Matrix F1 Slims and 8-10 Slik in standard kits on my MTX5 pole, working my way out to 16m to keep bites coming. Really happy with that result off a peg that no one would run to.

Well done Des Shipp winning off House 29 with 69lb and Andy Bailey 2nd with 63lb off Extension 21.

Teamwise we’ve done average, but are still hanging on in 3rd spot behind NuFish and South West. No fishing today, which looking outside at all the snow was a sensible decision!
