Winter League Champions!

Tunnel Barn Winter League Champions! After ten nip-and-tuck rounds, fished in all sorts of weather, we’ve managed to win the league by a single point, narrowly ahead of South West All Stars and NuFish Elite. Such a tight finish!

I’ve drawn a great peg on the last round in the shape of House 6 and managed 3rd on the lake with 31lb. Nothing closer than 14.5m and not a single bite dobbing. It’s just been a case of tapping in a few maggots and catching small F1s and the odd skimmer, with a pinch of Sonubaits Crushed Expander helping at times.

Opposite me on peg 29 Paul Yates has blitzed the match with 87lb of big F1s, not feeding a thing. Well done Casemore Baits who won the final round with 45 points. We were just a point behind on the day, along with Nufish, securing us the all-important title.

My Team Dynamite squad consisted of captain Jack Danby, Ben Sharp, James Fowkes and myself. A pleasure to fish with such a cracking bunch of lads. In the last five seasons we’ve had two 1sts, a 2nd and two 3rds as a team!
