A Fab Last Day Of The Season

Last day of the river season yesterday and when I woke up early in the morning I still hadn’t made my mind up where to fish! Ended up heading for a childhood peg on the Lido at Stratford-upon-Avon. A cracking bit of water ran by Leamington AA.

What a great decision! I’ve ended up having a fabulous day’s float fishing. Just took two rods; a Matrix Horizon Pro 13ft Waggler and an Ethos XRW 13ft, each paired with HX Pro 3000 reels. I’ve fished stick float and bolo tactics all day. The fish were really hungry and I’ve had a bite almost every single cast.
