Hero to zero!

Fished the Easter Saturday open at Packington on Big Gearys. Peg 30, to the left of the island. Lovely day catching 128lb for the match win. All but one fish on the Method.

Used a Horizon Pro Commercial 11ft Feeder which was ideal for the 42m chuck. Had to unclip on one very angry ghostie, but somehow managed to hoist it back from behind the island.

Used the new Matrix X7s in a size 12 to 0.20mm Soft Steel with a spiked 6mm Fluoro Bandum and a 30g Open Alloy Feeder. Lovely day on the tip.

Sunday made the 100-mile trip up to JCB Lakes for the Feedermasters. Really like this venue and been kind to me twice before, but it really switched off on the day and only six people in my 20-peg zone weighed in. Had three late pulls but never hooked a single fish. Well done Pemb winning our zone with 31lb and Alan Scotthorne and Ian Driscoll also qualifying.

Hero to zero! Nice lie-in and a day off for our anniversary the next day. Hope you’ve had a good Easter.
