Crafty Carp At Lychgate

The fish everywhere are a bit moody at the moment as the carp cannot decide whether to spawn or not, so that makes a session targeting them a nice challenge!

I had a nice time on the bank with Kevin at Lychgate Fisheries earlier this week and it was classic June-time carp behaviour with the fish really unsettled and easily spooked early doors, but wanting to come in for a feed later on.

We did some hard pellet fishing, then swapped to meat, which was noticeably better and then got to grips with some margin sport. The fish in this place are all solid, in great condition and really test your tackle!

Great sport and great company. Kevin even brought some Haribos to munch on, and they didn’t last too long!
