Titanium Braid Scissors, Line Nippers and Mini Shot Pliers will all have a place in my seatbox drawer, plus the well-designed Precision Plummets, which go from 10g right up to 50g.

There’s also a very affordable 6000-size Aquos Ultra reel and at the other end of the scale there’s a stunning lineup of top-end Horizon X Ultra Pro rods. My picks so far are the 12ft two-piece X-Light Waggler and the 12ft 80g Distance Feeder!
