We visited the beautiful Docklow Pools in Herefordshire and it was a perfect venue.<\/p>\n<p>Fishing close in with maggots, pellets and worms, Noah&#8217;s very first fish was a greedy gudgeon and Matteo&#8217;s first fish was a pretty little perch. Lots more followed, including bream, skimmers, quality roach and hybrids. Great fun on float tackle!<\/p>\n<p>A few telltale swirls meant a big fish or two were getting curious and, sure enough, we soon hooked into one of Docklow Pool&#8217;s famous carp! The first one got the better of us, but the next two were not so crafty. Each one gave us an epic fight. A team effort was definitely required as all three of us worked together before finally scooping them up in the landing net!<\/p>\n<p>Matteo and Noah were great fun and an absolute pleasure to teach. They picked things up really fast and I think they&#8217;ve now well and truly got the fishing bug!<\/p>\n<p>I must say a huge thanks to everyone at Docklow Pools for having us.
