So impressed with the new range of Matrix barbed and barbless hooks<\/a>. My quick picks of the family are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

X6 Carp Pellet Rigger<\/strong> – the barbless size 16 is perfect for \u2018mugging\u2019 and standard carp shallow work. Been using it with every kind of bait you can hair rig!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

X8 X-Power Carp<\/strong> – the size 16 is my go-to for beefy banded pellet work with 6mm and 8mm pellets and a 14 for absolute bagging with 8mms. Never ever had one straighten!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

X7 Carp Method<\/strong> – a \u2018circle hook\u2019 design and love the size 12 for big carp method and bomb fishing. This is actually a little bigger than comparable size 12s, which is what I often want on big carp waters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

X1B Finesse Feeder<\/strong> – not just a feeder hook as it\u2019s equally good for general waggler work and pole fishing with bigger baits for better quality fish.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

X2B Wide Gape Feeder<\/strong> – a proper \u2018meaty\u2019 hook that I like for big baits and bonus fish on the pole and feeder.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

X5B Pro Feeder<\/strong> – a shape that I\u2019m experimenting a lot with lately as it\u2019s got a straight point rather than in-turned, which potentially offers improved hooking potential.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
