Framing At The Barn

Fished the open at Tunnel Barn Farm today. With 25 of us booked on we voted to either put everyone tightly pegged on New Pool or spread the pegs out between New and Top. Bizarrely the majority wanted to catch less fish and be crammed onto one lake ?, so it obviously fished really hard, especially with the edges full of spawning skimmers.

I had a tough but interesting day on peg 27 fishing my fantastic Matrix MTX4 pole at 16 metres most of the match, using a bulked down rig, 0.2g Malman Mojo and 10-12 Slik elastic. I ended up with a 50/50 net of carp and F1s for 58lb and 3rd overall. Pegs 38 and 40 took the top two prizes with 70lbs.

Nice to get back to Tunnel and win some pennies. I also had to laugh afterwards when several of the people who voted to peg us all on one lake then moaned how hard it fished. Go figure! ?
