Third, But No Golden Ticket

Just the one match this very stormy weekend, which was the AT Silverfish qualifier at the Glebe. I’ve won Lake 5 and was 3rd overall with 41lb of skimmers.

The weather was shocking, with gale-force wind smacking us all diagonally into our faces on my lake. I could only fish 6m out and needed a heavy 1g river rig and a spraybar to get any sort of presentation in the 5ft swim! We’ve all hooked 20+ carp, too, but thankfully the skimmers were a good stamp when you got one.

Really limited by the wind and tow, so just fished maggots over Sonubaits F1 and Thatchers. Impossible to throw or catapult anything as it would’ve just ended up behind me!

Well done Oliver Scotthorne winning Lake 1 with 25lb and match winner Ben Lawrence qualifying from Lake 4 with 54lb.
