How End Silverfish Finalist

I qualified for the THowsEnder Final at How End Fishery today!

It was split between Dani’s and Yasi’s lakes and I’ve drawn a really good peg 4 on Dani’s and weighed 36lb 11oz to win the match. Caught mostly ide and a few skimmers, fishing my Matrix XTR700 at 13 metres with pinkies and maggots. Pretty simple fishing really, just pinging and potting bait and trying to work out the best way to keep bites coming.

Elsewhere on the lake there’s been a few monstrous perch caught, topped by a 3lb 5oz specimen! It’s been surprisingly nice and dry today, too, after having rain and sleet all day yesterday.

There’s some real quality winter silverfish sport to be had at How End. I just wish it was a lot closer. Looking forward to the final in March now.
