Pole Champs Finalist

On Wednesday I was 3rd overall on the Preston Innovations Pole Champs ran by Match Fishing magazine! A really good turnout at Packington Fishery, spread over Molands, Little Gearys, Annies, Willow and Siblings and it’s fished surprisingly well despite the heat.

I had a great day managing 163lb from peg 21 on Little Gearys to win the lake. That was eight or nine carp to 10lb and the rest decent F1s, all shallow on pellets and casters.

A nice pickup and two sunburnt knees for my efforts, despite slapping on a load of sun cream in the morning! I’m through to the Final at Woodland View now. Where’s the aftersun?
