Double Whammy Weekend!
Well the drawing arm seems to be fully recharged, as I drew another good peg today! I was guesting on the Packington Winter League and pulled out peg 9 on Little Gearys, which is a great area, summer and winter.
In complete contrast to yesterday, it’s been flat calm all day and nowhere near as cold. I’ve caught almost everything fishing between 14 and 16 metres out on maggots, with just one fish on a maggot feeder when it went quiet.
I’ve caught F1s from 12oz to 2lb on and off all day, plus a lone 3lb common, to weigh 66lb for a very satisfying lake and match win. I think 24lb was 2nd on my lake and 42lb was 2nd in the match, so I’ve obviously been on a pile!
Best rig was a 4×12 Malman Secret on 0.14 Matrix Power Micron to an 0.10 bottom and green 8-10 Slik elastic through the top two of my Matrix MTX4 pole. Cracking day!
