Decoy Winter League Champion!

Yippee, I won the Decoy Lakes Individual Winter League today! It was the fourth and final round and I’ve had a cracking day on Damson peg 10, catching 130lb of carp and F1s for 2nd on the lake and 3rd overall in the match.

Jack Damant won the day with a terrific 169lb from end peg 2 on Damson and Jon Whincup won Six Islands with 154lb from peg 10.

I’ve ended up with two 1sts, a 2nd and a 4th, four great days winter(!) sport and picked up a nice £750 envelope. Well done to Tom Edwards who was 2nd in the league, Andy Leathers 3rd, Jon Whincup 4th and Dan Clarke 5th.

Also I must say a big thanks to Tony Evans and Josh Pace for running the league so well. Quick changeover of tackle tonight ready for a big two-dayer at Meadowlands. Cream crackered and everything’s covered in mud, but loving my fishing at the moment!
