Fun Flinging The Rubber

Just had a couple of enjoyable late afternoon mini sessions on the Oxford Canal with the trusty lure rods. I went for perch yesterday… but all I could catch were zander. I then went for zander today… and ended up with two perch and two pike!

It’s still really nice to get out and fling a bit of rubber about, regardless of the species or size of fish. Been doing this style of fishing for several years now whenever I get some free time and I’m learning so much all the time, too. It’s such a nice change and contrast to the serious match fishing I do. Plus, buying all these weird and wonderful lures from the ‘sweet shop’ is half the fun!
