Coaching On Club Pool

A really lovely day coaching with Eddie at Tunnel Barn Farm yesterday. He kindly treated me to a nice breakfast in the morning before we headed for a couple of likely looking swims on Club Pool.

As I expected, the fish were a bit fickle on the day, which gave us lots to think about when it came to rigs, feeding and presentation. It wasn’t long before he was getting plenty of bites, however, and was soon sliding the net under some chunky skimmers and F1s, plus a healthy number of commons and mirrors.

Eddie has been following my progress ever since my old ‘End Peg’ column in Match Fishing magazine, plus I know quite a few of his Yorkshire venues, so we had loads to talk about. The mid-session snacks were also worth a special mention as I was treated to smoked salmon rolls… wow!
