Four Out Of Four

Well I’ve managed to fish four matches since lockdown and had four brown envelopes!

I’ve had a section win at Tunnel Barn Farm with 121lb on New Pool, fishing pellets down the edge. I then won Club Pool and came 3rd overall at Tunnel Barn with 118lb, some shallow and some full depth with maggots and pellets.

The 100-peg Fishomania qualifier there was next up and I had a great day catching 202lb of F1s from House 16, which is definitely not the greatest peg on that lake. Shallow fishing with maggots was the best tactic. That won the section, but you needed 238lb to win.

Yesterday I was an agonising 2nd overall with 180lb of big carp at Larford Lakes on a big-money 50-pegger. I only needed another 1lb to win, but still picked up £350! I won Match Lake with around 20 carp and 10 F1s, starting on paste, then pellet shallow and then some big zoo creatures down the margins. Great fishing!

I’m not fishing loads of matches at the moment, just picking the ones I fancy, but really hope this run continues!
