2nd On The Feeder Masters

I managed a lovely 2nd place overall on the recent Feeder Masters qualifier at Barston with 89lb! I was given a very unfancied peg 44 at the draw and it was a right old section of death, too, with half of the England feeder team pegged around me. No pressure then!

I managed six big kippers for 68lb and 20lb of allsorts for a surprisingly good day. I only managed one bream early on a 65m chuck. The rest was caught at 24m and close in down the side, using Method Feeder tactics, micros, meat and Washters. Another 15 minutes and I’m sure I would have had at least another two carp and qualified, as I couldn’t get the feeder in quick enough at the end. Close but no cigar!

Very well done to Jason Morris who won the match and took the zone qualifying ticket from peg 35 on the island, another unfancied peg. So, that’s two visits to Barston and two 2nds on big qualifiers for me so far this year. Hoping to go one better soon!
