2oz Off A Win At Meadowlands!

Fished the afternoon match at Meadowlands on a very moody Lambsdown today. I managed three carp for 28lb in the first hour fishing shallow with 8mm pellets; one slapping, one mugging and one fishing ‘properly’.

After that it was pretty tough going so I concentrated on a short line with corn and meat glugged in Dynamite Krill Pellet Soak for 45lb of skimmers.

Strangely not a single carp showed on the bomb, feeder, waggler or down either of my edges. Trying too long for one cost me the win as Stu Palser came 1st with 73lb 10oz to my 73lb 8oz! Just 2oz off the win, but still a nice result AND I got a shiny £1 off Wayne Sharman next door. Happy days!
