Pellet Pointers At Tunnel Barn
Some nice action photos from a really busy day at Tunnel Barn Farm with Mark. We wanted plenty of bites on pellets, so I chose one of my favourite pegs on New Pool. It’s fair to say Mark emptied it!
We fished what I would class as big-weight tactics for this venue, starting short and down the edges while priming a shallow swim by hand. Mark is clearly a very good match angler indeed, but there were a few things he hadn’t done too much of, including shallow fishing with pellets and using a jigga rig.
I’m pretty sure after this session he’ll be tying a few more jigga rigs up! There’s something fascinatingly addictive about this way of catching. Feeling those taps on the pole and the elastic snaking away as a big F1 drags it out is great fun.
There’s obviously a lot more to catching at venues like this than that, so we went through a whole repertoire of tricks to keep putting fish in the net.
Pictured are just some of the fish Mark caught. A great day and, as always, a massive thanks to Tunnel Barn Farm for having us!
