Tunnel Barn Teams Of Four

Today was the final round of the Tunnel Barn Farm teams of four winter league and the whole venue has fished its head off!

There were loads of 100lbs and Phil Canning’s won with a whopping 202lb from New 28! Even Top Pool has fished really well, which is traditionally the toughest lake, with Andy Neal winning it with 87lb from peg 13. I’ve drawn peg 30 on Top and managed 77lb for 5th out of the 15 anglers on there. So close as there was a 77lb, 78lb and 80lb above me!

Teamwise we’ve had a pretty good day coming 2nd behind Nufish Elite and that’s meant they just hung on to 2nd in the league with our Team Dynamite quartet coming 3rd. Well done lads.

Out on top was the formidable Southwest Allstars who were very deserving winners with their star performer Des Shipp topping the individual aggregate just ahead of our very own captain bagger Jack Danby. After we won the league the previous year I’m hoping they’ll hand the trophy swiftly back to us in 2025!

It’s been a great league and the venue’s fished the best I’ve known it over the winter. A huge thanks to Sarah and all the Tunnel Barn Farm team for running what I think is the best league in the Midlands at such a terrific venue.

Only one thing was missing today and that was Mike Hamlington who would have normally presented the prizes and told us all how well we’d drawn. We all miss Mike but he’s left a fabulous legacy and a very special venue.
