A Meadowlands Silverfish Session

It was rather cold, wet and windy at Meadowlands Fishery last week, but James and I still had a really good day’s fishing!

We sensibly opted for a slightly more sheltered swim on Warren Pool to target some skimmers on the pole plus a little bit of feeder fishing.

The fish took a little bit of working out on the day, which always makes it a nice challenge. James had a hard-earned net of fish at the end… which would have been even more if the mice hadn’t eaten some big holes in the bottom of his keepnet, ha ha!

Bad weather aside, it was still an enjoyable day in great company. Plus, those pesky mice hadn’t found his chocolate cookies, which were most welcome!

I must also say a big thanks to Tim, Mick and Nigel at Meadowlands for having us.
