Back On The Feeder

First Feeder Masters of the year at Decoy Lakes today and I drew peg 29 on Beastie. Not really where I fancied as Horseshoe normally wins this zone, but just glad to be on the bank!

Took it nice and easy and managed around 50lb of F1s, skimmers, carassio, Gary the gudgeon and a few small carp. Sadly none of the big kippers that Beastie is famous for, but we probably needed the wind blowing our way for that.

I was definitely a bit rusty and found myself daydreaming three hours in, but a step closer to being match fit and not wheezing so much – a huge relief after Friday!

Nice to get my trusty Horizon Pro 10ft Feeder bending again and really liking the new Ethos XR reels I’ve matched them with.

Well done Bud, Przemek and Fabian on qualifying and of course Lee and Mick for running yet another good match. On to the next one…

Hey Jon. Really sorry to see you so unwell chum. Watched your match at Bradshaw Hall Fishery. Sorry about the weighing. Then your Good Friday match. Really enjoy all your videos Jon. Get well pal. Nasty that Covid, been there. I’m on the way to recovering from a heart attack last year. Fished my first match this year last Sunday came 4th, should have won. Only 3lb, separated the top 4. I need to get match fit again Jon. Like you. Best wishes for a speedy recovery. Bob M.?

Many many thanks Bob. I hope you recover quickly after your ordeal. I’d certainly rather have covid than a heart attack, so take care and I wish you well and lots of wins!
