Easter Fisho

My one and only match over the Easter holidays was the Fishomania qualifier at Tunnel Barn Farm yesterday. After feeling rough all week I was just hoping to catch a few fish!

I drew peg 40 on High Pool, which isn’t the greatest of areas for a chance of qualifying, but still worth a days fishing and I’ve had a nice and busy day catching lots of small F1s. A few on meat early then got my head down on maggots shallow.

I ended up with 123lb which was the best weight up my end of the lake, third out of the 25 anglers on the pool and won the section. I assumed Sam Williams won the section with 130lb off peg 50, which included three very rare High Pool barbel, but he was in a split section with House, which is a shame for Sam as he’s fished a really good match and deserved something for that.

A massive well done to my old mate team mate Jason Redgrave smashing the match off Jennys Pool with a mega 272lb on meat short and down the sides. Don’t think anyone predicted a weight like that qualifying!

Have a lovely Easter everybody.
