Coaching With Carl At Alvechurch

Some piccies from a really nice session on the bank at Alvechurch Fishery with Carl. We set up on Horseshoe Lake as if it was a match scenario, with bait, rigs and rods to cover all the key aspects of the swim. We then systematically worked between several crucial tactics; short pole, long pole, shallow, margins and island.

The carp fought extremely hard in the relatively shallow water and it was nice to see some quality bream coming out as well, even though the lake’s barbel were a bit elusive on the day.

Carl ended up with a really nice net of fish and, hopefully, I helped to demystify some of the confusing and contradictory advice we now see on places like YouTube and in magazines!

As always, a big thanks to Alvechurch Fishery in Worcestershire for having us!
