Canal Cure

I am on a truly ‘great’ run of form at the moment, as I haven’t weighed in on my last three qualifiers, ha ha! Clearly I’ve not got things right, drawn great or been in the best frame of mind, but I know you’ve just got to weather the storm and pick the right matches this time of year…

Last week I got on the canal a couple of times, however, and that’s been a breath of fresh air. I had a terrific day on the Grand Union with Dave Simmonds who was great company. Not sure why, but when he tells a boat to slow down it actually does! I even caught two surprise zander, so that’s also prompted me to dust off the lure rods…

I’ve also put a nice long film together from a different day on the cut. The obligatory ‘stick fish’ was well and truly toppled by a surprise capture, but you’ll have to watch it to know what I’m on about.

I’m genuinely surprised by how popular this film’s been in just 36 hours, so thanks for the support. It’s heartening to know I can still do something half right, so more to come I hope…

Enjoy the rest of your week wherever you all are! 🙂
