Method & Bomb Success At Makins

A lovely day’s coaching with Derek on Lake 2 at Makins Fishery.

Derek is a pleasure angler who has recently got back into his fishing after a 20-year break and particularly loves feeder fishing for quality fish. We soon got to grips with two key tactics: the Method Feeder cast tight to the island and a bomb-and-pellet swim fished in open water.

Some stunning carp fell to both tactics and I’m sure Derek went away with a lot more confidence for his next fishing trip.
