Margin Pole & Method Feeder With Mick
It was really nice to get back to Dog Lane Fishery for another coaching session. This time I was there with Mick who was keen to get a bit more from his margin pole and feeder gear. Despite classing himself as an out-and-out pleasure angler he was well kitted out and puts plenty of thought into his tackle… although I still cannot see the point of a ‘pellet wetter’, which kept us both chuckling for the duration of the day!
The short pole was easily the most productive swim as Mick battled with lots of hard-fighting carp, plus his first ever F1s. When we swapped to a shallow rig over the top things got even better. A few little tricks kept the elastic stretching even more! 😉
The Method feeder was also very effective on the day and we spent a bit of time on that tactic before ending the session back on the pole for a final flurry.
It really was a cracking day and Mick was great company. Once again a big thanks to Dog Lane Fishery for having us!
